Season Restart - Return to Play update

4 Aug 2021 by Tanunda Football Club Incorporated

We’re pleased to advise that the restrictions announced on Monday in regards to spectators at outdoor community sporting events have been relaxed.

However the most significant change being the mandatory wearing of masks for spectators – both inside and outside.

Outdoor community sporting events can host spectators under the following conditions:

Maximum of 1,000 spectators permitted (density permitting at 1 person per 2sqm).

All spectators attending outdoor sporting events must wear masks at all times (unless eating or drinking). This applies to all areas of the venue, both inside and outside.

Spectators must be seated during consumption of all food and drink.

It is also highly recommended that all other persons at the event, including but not limited to players, officials and volunteers also wear a mask:
Please note that persons aged 12 and under do not have to wear masks, and that players and officials don’t have to wear masks while participating in the game/exercising.

SA Health’s mask messaging is simple – if you can wear a mask, please wear a mask.

Further to the above, just a reminder the following is also in effect:
- Singing restrictions remain in place (no club songs in changerooms)
- Seated consumption remains (indoors & outdoors)
- Masks required to be worn in inside shared public spaces (ie: licenced venues)

Medical support staff (such as trainers, doctors, physios) must wear a mask while administering player treatment – at training and on game day.

Density requirements, and/or maintaining 1.5m apart where possible must be observed where possible.

“Get In/Get Out” should be observed where possible.

Only players & officials allowed on the oval & in the changerooms.

Thorough cleaning and sanitisation must occur before and after each training/match day including spot cleaning of changerooms in between user groups, and cleaning of equipment and public touch areas.

Hygiene and testing protocols previously implemented will still apply (including no shared drink bottles, lolly bowls etc)

Once again, thanks for your ongoing support and compliance in COVIDSafe practices.
